BlackChat Vancouver is co-founded and curated by an intergenerational, auntie and nibbling duo, who have worked informally out of pocket and out of home, to unite and spark conversation amongst the Black communities in the GVA and across Canada


With this programming being funded, we would be able to provide a reliable income to Black community members, create an environment for mentorships, and have resources to support, uplift, and highlight the voices, experiences, wins and needs of the Black communities in the Greater Vancouver Area and beyond. The communities we serve are the whole reason we started BlackChat, and the reason we’ve continued this work out of pocket for the last 4 years.
